Kenn Amdahl just recorded an hour-long interview with “The Career Clinic” radio show, which will be broadcast on 60 radio stations around the country the weekend of June 25. The host, Maureen Anderson, interviews people with different occupations to help people thinking of a career change. She interviewed Kenn for her book, also called The Career Clinic, a few years ago. Kenn Amdahl recently helped put together a deal between Colorado Independent Publishers Association, Douglas County Colorado Library District, and Red Rocks Community College to facilitate the library purchase of e-books from CIPA members. This deal, and the revolutionary ideas behind it, were discussed in an article in Publishers Weekly Magazine

Video Reviews Of Jumper and the Bones

A fifth grade class in New York read Jumper and the Bones, with some help from their teacher (it wasn’t really aimed at that young an audience. He helped them understand that some of the language was a little grown up, and the gang guys were not to be emulated). We were a little nervous when we heard they were reading it but, because they have a great teacher, it went very well and the kids loved it.We had a video conference, the kids asked Kenn questions and read their book reviews. Twenty seven kids in the class, so far we’ve gotten official parental permission from a handful to post their videos on Jumper and the Bones’ Facebook page. Nice kids, well written reviews.
